FriendShip Monument, Zaisan Hill

Up the Zaisan hill we went, not many place we can visit in a day in here in Ulan Bataar. Especially when you dont have a car. So back to this monument , we went there with a mongolian friends' car (Me, Neoh and BG).

At he top of the hill there's this big monument build by the russian. Climbing the step is hard enough for me plus the chill factor...perghh let just say i stop a few time before reaching the top of the hill.

But nevertheless when you reach the top the view is quite rewarding.

The City Of Ulan Bataar

This is the view of Ulan Bataar City from on top of Zaisan hill where the Friendship Monument is located, which is the remain from socialist period symbolising Mongolia-Russian brothership and honoring for Russian Mongolia soldiers dead in 1921-1945 battles.

Maybe i'll post the pic of the monument later on my fotopages or here ... we'll see.

Sukhe Bator square Mongolia

Sukhe Bator Square Mongolia, this was among the first pic i've taken in Mongolia . This place is a hang out for people of Ulan Bataar , they even have concerts on this square. It make me think of Dataran Merdeka back home.

Any way it is just a square with a lot of people doing roler skating, taking pictures, chatting, dating and all the other 'ing'.

Emm what else , this building has in it the statue of Genghis Khan (Pronounce as chinggis khan)and other importtant character that i seem to had forgotten.

Hmm i'm still a bit chubby on the first week, wait till i post my pic now , ithink i lost some weight after being here a month. And being a month of Ramadhan make me more slimmer ... well good for me.

A month in Mongolia

It has been exactly one month now, staying,living and working in Mongolia. I arrive here through Beijing airport on 20th

September 2007 around noon. The flight was about 5 hours from KL International Airport to Beijing.

I then had to take another 2 hour flight to Ulan Bataar (Ulan Bator) airport the capital of Mongolia.

You know you are in Mongolia when reading even the sign start to get pretty difficult, unless you know russian languange. Those letter are almost similar to rhe alphabet used in rusia. Well another thin.g is the cold wheather, cause it is coming to winter soon.

And yesss being here one month means , i'd celebrated this year Aidilfitri here in Mongolia ...

Peros Guirec

Last weekend i was all alone cause my friend when to a wedding in south of france. So not knowing what to do , and not feeling like travelling to far i decide to go to the coast line near by. So in my car i go and off to the beach with my camera. First i stop at the peak of a cliff that overlook the place i 'm going. From the first Pic you see all the car there, that's my destination. This only about 3 kilometers from where i'm staying.

Ok I finally reach my destination about 5 minute from the Cliff. From there i'll take a walk, it's not that cold anymore that day, so it was a nice day to take a walk.

This coast line is covered with rocks .... i saw some people fishing on the rocks, boy i wish i had brought my fishing rod. Then i can join them ahaks ...

This remind me to go fishing when i went back to Malaysia in two weeks time. I use to love fishing , well i still do but in KL most of the time we when fishing in man made pond which we had to pay for RM30 per hour.

Since i take on this hobby of fotography, everything seem to look interesting to me even plain rocks by the sea side. It is wonderfull how ordinary things could look so interesting through the lens of a camera.

Finally i climb on top of one of the rocks , put up my tripod and start taking picture of my self on the rocks. Not many of that (My own pic) , but for that day i feel like taking my own picture. so here is it me on the rocks......The rock Wrocksssss.

One Of those lazy weeks

Last week the wheater was not that good. Unlike the first week where i got blue sky most of the day , last week the the sky was cloudy and it occasionally rain mostly early in the morning or late in the evening.

So the rutin last week was go to class came back, cook some meal and watch TV. Most of the TV programe are in French, except for CNN. In the room there's not much to do: pla Warcraft on my PC, Cook Eat then Cook some more. Or sometime i just took out my D80 and start shooting pic from my window. There i'll see bird on the roof and empty streets in the evening.

One show on TV ilike to watch is Nouvell Star a French version of American idol , But we'll talk about that in next blog ...

Sept iles : Sea Bird Sanctuary

Let me see where did i go last week ...... emm . After some malaysian collegue came for another training we decide to go on a boat ride along Sept iles where the Sea Bird Sanctuary is located.

The island is home for thousand of seabird and other species of birds.

To go there we need to take the boat which cost us 16Euro perperson for a 2 hour trip around the island.

That is not me in the picture those are the collegue from Malaysia who cam for 2 weeks course in here and later they had to go to Paris to continue their training.

Back to trip, we departed at about 10:30am and soon after we'll on the way. The weather was good that day, a bit windy though. The sky is crystal blue with some cloud here and there.

It took about 15-20 minute to reach the first island.

After that is just visiting one island before another before the jorney back.

My Birthday Today - Still in Lannion

Emm i wake today by the sound of my mobile ( incoming message) .. It was from my sister in law ....wishing me "Happy Birthday" at 4:00am in the morning. I think she forgot that i'm 7 hours behind.

Neverthless it was my first birthday wishes ....then second comes from my MOM, now she always keep track of my time here so she wait till 7:00am here to msg me. So i give her a call an we chat a little ..

Next was from my friend from U who share the same birthday date. I wish Happy Birthday for both of us. Last but not least was from my former OnLine Friend now Offline also (though i had to remind her) ... ahaks .... anyway that is basiclly it. My birthday. So today I want to share what i have for dinner last night.


Emm to think of it i never actually celebrate my birthday. Most of the time i'm off somewhere during this time of year. Mostly for work related travel of cause.

The Lobster ..emm it was delicious . It had to be for 18 over Euro per kilo. Emm not to forget those fresh strawberry for about 2.5

Euro per 250g.

But what i like most eating her is the Crab .... ahaa the Crab next time we talk about the Spider Crab.

Trestrau : My First Day Visit

Before I start posting on Trestraou let me show you via google earth where is Lannion on the Map.

There .. you see me right on the coast this area of France is call Britanny. And more specificly Cotes D'amor.

Place where i'm staying is just 15 minute drive from lannion. Perros Guirec is about five minunte drive to the favorite tourist spot Trestaou where there is a Casino there.
So that bring us to my first destination Trestraou ... nope not to to go to the Casino but to enjoy the see side ......

Training Lannion : Alcatel University

I went again this year to France: Destination Alcatel University Lannion. Whereby there i'll stay at Hotel De La Marie in Perros Guirec a nice quite little town.

I reach Charle De Gaule airport on the morning 22/5/2007 ... From there i need to take the TGV From Mountparnaesse ... to Guingamp the nearest point to Lannion.

Taking the TGV will take about 3 hour to reach my destination Guingamp. From there i'll take a taxi to Lannion Aeroport to rent a car with Hertz. This time around i got a new Peugeot 206.





From there on, i had to adjust my driving from left hand side to right hand side. Which is not so difficult, my formula is always keep the middle line of the road on your left side. ...ahaks.
